How to Send Us Your Credentials

It's time to share your website credentials with Web Pro Geeks! Sharing your passwords with us properly means:

1. We can access what we need to in order to work with you
2. We can limit the number of people who have access to your credentials
3. We can easily edit or delete your credentials when needed

It's never a good idea to share credentials in an email! Following these brief seps but keeps your access safe and secure. Follow along with this article, or watch the video below.

Here's how to do it! 

There are 3 main elements you'll need to share with us per access:

1. What it's for
2. The username or email
3. And the password itself

Remember to always share the admin or highest level access with us, unless we specify otherwise. 

Step 1:

The first step is to gather whatever credentials we need. You should have a list sent to you in your Welcome Email. To save time, it's a good idea to test these credentials yourself before sending. That way we won't need to possibly repeat this process again. 

Step 2: 

Next, go to onetimesecret.com. Paste ALL the credentials in the content box. Remember to include the 3 main elements for each set of credentials we asked for. 

Step 3:

Next, choose a passphrase. It can be anything! Just make sure you don't forget it, because you'll need to share it with us in a moment. 

Step 4:

Now make sure that under the lifetime dropdown, the selected option reads 7 days. This means the link will expire a week from now. We love this because it means that your information is that much more secure. 

Step 5: 

Finally choose the Create a Secret Link button. If you make a mistake and need to start over, you can choose Burn this Secret and start over from step 1. 

Step 6: 

Last, copy and past the highlighted link on the next page AND your passphrase from a moment ago into a reply to your Welcome email. Once you hit send, it's on it's way to us and we'll take care of the rest!
